TNHS graduates 163 in first senior class

The Thomas Nelson High School Concert Band filled the school gymnasium with the sounds of “Pomp and Circumstance” for the first time June 6, when the 2014 senior class became the first to graduate from Nelson County’s newest high school.ed by valedictorian Stephany Vittitow and salutatorian Emily Davis, the class included 163 graduates. In a ceremony replete with a celebration of firsts, class speakers Morgan Ford and Grace Parrish told the “History of the Class” (Ford) and “The Answer to How” (Parrish). Other highlights included the singing of “Dear Ol’ Thomas Nelson” by the TNHS Chamber Singers, presentation of diplomas, the turning of the tassel and, of course, the wild throwing of studious-looking headgear.
