KSBA presents district 2016 OASIS Sweepstakes Award

For the sixth time in eight years, Nelson County Schools has won the Sweepstakes Award given in the annual Outstanding Achievement in School Information Services (OASIS) contest.

The award honors Kentucky’s top school communications programs judged in statewide competition among districts of a similar size competing in four size categories. Nelson County competes in the 3000 – 5,000 student range.

To win, a district’s communications team must compete in at least three of five contest categories: written, printed, photographic/videographic, online/electronic communications, and campaigns/programs.

The competition is jointly sponsored by the Kentucky School Boards Association (KSBA) and the Kentucky School Public Relations Association.
