Ronnie Hatfield, an 18-year veteran of competitive and youth soccer leagues in Nelson County, has been named the first head coach for the boys’ soccer team at Thomas Nelson High School.
A past president of Nelson County Youth Soccer, Hatfield started his coaching career in the Nelson County Recreation league and went on to coach in the competitive soccer leagues, where he has been active for about 12 years, coaching both boys and girls teams.
A reception for Hatfield, and TNHS girls’ soccer coach Paul Brooks, took place Feb. 13 at the TNHS Field House.
