Brooks greeted at reception

Paul Brooks has been named by Thomas Nelson High School as the first head coach for the girls’ soccer team.

Brooks has been described as a well-rounded professional who will bring “great leadership and a commitment to achievement,” to the girls’ soccer program.

An English teacher at Mercer County Senior High, Brooks has a long record as a winner.

As head coach for the school’s Lady Titans soccer team, Brooks delivered the team’s best records in school history in the past two years, and this year coached the Lady Titans to the runners-up position in district and regional finals.

No stranger to Nelson County, Brooks said he has never had a losing season as a head coach and he plans to keep it that way.

Brooks and TNHS boys’ soccer coach Ronnie Hatfield were introduced to the community and prospective players at a reception for the two soccer coaches Feb. 13 at the TNHS Field House.
