The Boston School Band performed publicly for the first time at the school’s winter concert.
Band instructor Tyler Polston conducts the Boston School Band as it plays “Rolling Along,” during Boston School’s winter concert, Dec. 13. This was the first public performance for the band, which Polston formed this fall in conjunction with the school’s 21st Century Learning Center grant. Polston also directs the school’s after-school program. The band program was started with initial support through a grant from the Nelson County Education Endowment Fund and the loan of several instruments from the New Haven School.
